Is It Time To Get Out Of The Boat Broker Business?

So the other day I was on the phone with a boat broker and he was like:
 
? “Damn, I am tired of this industry. People are less loyal, more demanding and don’t respect us anymore. We do all this work for nothing…”
 
He then added: “I am getting tired of it and want to get out of the boat broker business.”
 
So here is what I responded:
 
“I understand that you are frustrated and want to reassure you that this is not just a boat sales problem, this is happening across all industries. Consumers are not changing JUST in boat sales. The way people buy today is changing and if you don’t adapt you will struggle for sure.”
 
I then added:
 
“If there are people in the industry making money — the problem is not the industry… the problem is your business.”
 
? So here is the blatant truth.
 
People always tend to see the grass always greener on the other side.
 
But remember, the grass is always greener where you water it!
 
No need to get out of the boat business. If you can’t make it in the boat broker business, chances are you will not be able to make it in any other industry.
 
And the ultimate way to get results in boat sales is to know how people buy in today market and knowing how to generate leads and constantly fill up your pipeline.
 
The number one reason for failure in sales is an empty pipeline.
