I never thought that as a boat sales trainer I would one day advise my clients to “Stop selling aggressively & pushing their listings”.
Anybody hard selling boats on social media right now are simply showing nothing else than desperation.
Your clients are smart and you are destroying your reputation if you keep the “selling as usual” despite what’s going on right now.
The worst thing you can do right now is to keep selling while ignoring this global problem we are all facing.
Not talking about the elephant in the room and our current reality.
The right thing to do right now instead of focusing on selling is to start SERVING.
To care.
To let them know that you are there.
To ask them if they need anything.
To ask them if there is something you could do for them or for their boats.
To let them know that you got their back.
And because you will show them that you are there, because you will show them that you care, they will want to do business with you and buy from you.
Remember that we are all in the same boat. We are all in this together.
Governments are shutting down all non essential businesses and even talking about possible Marshall law.
Flashing boats & yachts is so insensitive to the rest of the population that is worrying, suffering, losing their jobs or even dying from this global pandemic.
Look I understand that you want to keep business open and that you still want to serve your clients and I respect you for that.
All I am asking is that instead of pushing your products you become obsessed about customers.
Contact all your clients one on one and show them that you are there and that you care and they will still do business with you.
